Welcome to this culinary adventure. We all need food to survive, and being able to enjoy the taste and look of the food served gives us appetite and satisfaction.
A challenging event for me each day has been "what to cook for supper". When I was single, well, that was easy - just grab anything, even a bowl of cereal was supper at times. Then I got married, now I had to plan my meals ahead - which didn't happen. I started coming up with my best ideas for meals under pressure. Usually it would be me saying "Supper is in 45 minutes, what do I cook?" Of course, no one was around to answer me or cook for me - so the searching began (cupboards, fridge, freezer). Somehow, I would always come up with some sort of menu plan with what ingredients I found. That is where I learned to be creative - some of my meals were interesting, mostly basic (meat, potatoes & veggies), but always good to eat.
This site, on the suggestion of a fabulous friend will be a place that I can share my culinary experiences. I don't often cook by recipe, but I will try to share the short-cuts and ideas I have learned in my cooking experiences. Enjoy!
