The BBQ sauce and coke are close to equal amounts. I find that the BBQ sauce is too strong that is why I use coke to soften the flavour. I'm not sure where I heard this suggestion, but it has worked well for me, and the girls really enjoy the hamburger patties.
The French Fries, well just look at the picture and you can see I really worked hard at cleaning up all the spattered gre
ase from the cooking process - lol.
The method, heat vegetable oil to 375 , take out frozen fries from the freezer and put them into the hot oil until golden. Toss salt on them and eat. I don't make fries too often, so it was a nice treat tonight.
ENJOY!

Hmm. interesting about the coke. I don't usually care for bbq sauce alone, so may try this sometime, while there's an unopened can of coke in the house. How long do you marinade them? Do you use a barbecue or just the microwave to cook the burgers?
ReplyDeleteJust curious. Thanks again!
You can cook the burgers any way you like. I just do a fry to brown and cook them through and then put them into the sauce. I suppose the longer they are in the sauce, the more flavour the burgers will have. When I am ready to serve I heat the burgers in the microwave for about 3 or 4 minutes, depending on how early I cooked them before the meal. I have seen on-line where the use the BBQ/Coke mixture for chicken in a slow cooker - I may try this one day.
